Purpose

The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, Massachusetts - The Mother Church, was founded in 1879, by the discoverer of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy. Her purpose was “to organize a church designed to commemorate the word and works of our master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing.”

Our church in Newport Beach, a branch of The Mother Church, was established in 1925 “to promote the truths of the Bible as explained through the writings of Mary Baker Eddy.”
